Bar

A relaxed, social space for all guests, the bar can set the stage for the night ahead or be the comforting last stop before bed – the important thing is that it’s there.

It’s also an opportunity to interact with our guests in a more relaxed space. If we know their favourite drink, we can action the unexpected later or make a note for their next visit.

Service Times

  • Opening times will vary between hotels; the earliest closing time is 11 pm
  • After this time, the hotel can use their discretion to remain open to residents

Bar Service

  • We offer both bar and table service, but as a rule, we always try to approach the guest first
  • Guests are greeted and served in an informal manner, either at the bar or at a table
  • Complementary snacks are provided and brought to the table when appropriate i.e. when guests have sat down and made themselves comfortable

Music

Our branded playlist is to be played throughout opening hours.

Lighting

  • All light fittings are to be kept clean and in good working order
  • Ensure lighting settings are consistent and set to the hotel’s desired ambient levels
  • If the lights are dimmable, they should be set to ambient levels to match the times of day

Set-up

  • Tables should be clear except for a bar menu
  • Tea lights are introduced on all tables when the sun sets (or from 5.30 pm if the room is dark)
  • The bar should be fully set and operational throughout service; it should not be closed down to any degree during opening times
